Rice fields

This is work done for Bergen based charity organization , Hawak Kamay Bergen. An organization that has provided livelihood development projects for the ricefarmers of Pinantan Diel , Iloilo in the Philippines - following the aftermath of typhoon Haiyan in 2013. The Rice farmer

One of the recipients. She is a rice farmer in Pinantan Diel , that had her life disrupted by the effects of the supertyphoon. It has now been restored again thanks to the help of different NGO, one of them Hawak Kamay Bergen. Ricefields are starting to grow again.

The Engineer

During the recovery period, hard work continues as though the storm didn´t happen. Here you see one of the farm-engineers pose infront of one of the waterpumps donated by Hawak Kamay Bergen. Its housing showing the damages from the typhoon.
